i had the delight of going to see this movie on friday. it was beautifully done. not so sure it was a "kid movie" per say, but as adults having read the book, it was magical. max was great, the wild things were spot on. the characters and their personalities were heartfelt. the soundtrack was lovely. the ending... well, i think that max and his mom should have fell asleep in a pile. happy november, and weekend to all!

I think your assessment of the movie is "spot on."
Quite the imaginative journey to develop from such a simple book...
Why Hello, I'm Kristi, the baker behind Snacky French custom CAKES and treats. I bake from SCRATCH, with love! Wife and Mama to our growing family. I do things with my hands. Serve. Create. CAKE. Craft. Photograph. I'm in the process of growing my own baking business, a new baby and renovating our 1870's home. Here you'll see some glimpses into that and whatever else is going on creatively in our home or in my head. (Click the photo to visit my website)
