Christmas 2012 ( a first for our little man)

Liam is 5 months

 ( Thanks to Aunt Emily for his penguin suit!)

The penguin outfit is very appropriate as he has taken to flapping his one arm at his side over and over, just like a penguin!

Liam also got to see and experience his first snowfall! We broke out his snowsuit and took him for a little sled ride around the house and trail.

He's found his voice. high pitched shrieks are a new favorite noise.

And wouldn't you know it we discovered he had 2 teeth on December 12th!
Liam loves his feet and hands and is sure to giggle when you blow raspberries or simply just giggle with him!
we haven't gotten a picture of the teeth yet. He's just too good at hiding them (for now)

first snow!

we all had a great "first" snow!

Liam is 4 months!

 this not so little man is 4 months old. oh my! he is such a delight!

liam has turned into a little chatter box and giggle monster! we are loving every talkative moment!

 liam is loving:

• sock free feet ( his feet in general)
• raspberries on his feet and tummy
• standing and sitting (with help of course)
• kick time
• grasping toys with both hands
• tummy time (sometimes)
• loves to look in the mirror and see his and mines reflections. he even tries to touch it.
• he also seems to be thriving with a little order to his days! we are loving having a bit of a routine again!

liam is not liking:

• tummy time ( sometimes) 
•  riding in the car after dark
• loud noises such as a coughs or sneezes

we randomly decided to go take some pictures one day at my parents house a few weeks back. they have some corn fields behind their property and we were feeling festive in our autumn clothes as we were on our way to pick out some pumpkins. my niece took some great pictures of us as a family!

Liam is 3 months!

 3 months old!

This little boy is starting to be not so little. Some milestones and highlights of the month included:

• first time sleeping in his crib!
• speaking of sleep... he is sleeping 8 hour stretches. hooray!
• loves to kick his legs all the time. well he loves moving in general. in the morning we find him in his crib completely turned around.
• is fascinated with his hands. looking at them and eating them
• he's becoming a regular chatter box. making all sort of sounds that resemble "whoo"
• starting to giggle ( especially when daddy make his monkey face)
• we had our first long car ride with liam up to the mountains to visit jason's family. he slept most of the way.
• he's just starting to grasp things with his hands and can even hold his own bottle, though i'm not sure he realizes what he's doing yet.
• jason got to pick out his first piece of clothing for liam, the above outfit pictured. (it even glows in the dark). he insists it's not costume but for everyday wear. its' that awesome :)

sporting his new sweater i just finished knitting him. it only took about four tries to get it right.
